NSTS is keeping in regular communication with all the relevant industry bodies & will publish updates as the information becomes available.
Members of Red Tractor Assurance schemes should contact their Certification Body for specific guidance during the current situation. There is a derogation until normal services are able to resume. In the meantime an operator check sheet should be completed and have in place a date arranged for when the next test will be carried out.
Scottish Quality Crops (SQC). An SQC Sprayer NSTS Derogation has been in place due to possible Coronavirus restricted movements regarding Sprayer Testing. Self-Assessment was introduced in spring 2020 alongside written evidence of actions.
The SQC Derogation withdrawal date of 1st March 2021 has now passed and SQC advise all growers that a valid NSTS Certificate is required from the 1st March (subject to sprayer age). Any grower without a valid test is advised to book this ASAP. Any spraying operations undertaken without a valid NSTS Certificate will result in an Non-Conformance.
